ABOUT
Among the thousands of miles under my boots, I’ve hiked the 500-mile Colorado Trail and trekked through Arizona, Utah, California, Nevada, Michigan, Arkansas, and beyond. My journey is fueled by a passion for helping people reach their greatest potential by living a healthy, balanced, and active lifestyle. Much of my perspective is grounded in the benefits of spending time in the great outdoors.

After of traveling the world during my 20 years in the Air Force and another 25 years in the corporate world, I’ve traded my uniform and desk for hiking gear and trails. Based in Colorado, I’m a proud husband and grandfather who believes life's best moments happen outside. But what I enjoy about being outside is fueled by an internal journey, one that seeks wholeness and fulfillment.

Now fully retired, my mission is to inspire people of all ages to embrace an active outdoor lifestyle. Primarily through my YouTube channel and website, I share the joy of the journey, educate about all the how-to's, encourage even the least likely participants, and review the gear that makes it possible.

As of March 2026, the David on Earth YouTube channel has 4.6k subs with monthly average views between 6-10K (82% new). Average top-10 view duration is 33%. And average monthly watch hours is 700. 80% of audience is 45 and older. In 2026 content is expanding to include other "live like you want it" topics, specifically targeted to the over 40 audience.
